Welcome Back

Welcome back to school after your Easter break. I hope you all had a very Happy and Holy Easter and are ready for an exciting  new term ahead.

Chronicles of Narnia

Letters are going home tonight to all children about a visit to the Hippodrome to celebrate their 100th Anniversary. This will be on Wednesday 23rd April, leaving at 9.00am from school. The cost of the visit is just £1.

Governors Meetings

On Monday 7th April the Premises Committee meet at 3.40pm, the Finance Committee meet at 4.30pm and the Personnel Committee meet at 5.30pm in the staff room. The next Curriculum Committee meeting is on Monday 14th April at 3.30pm also in the school.

School Council

Our school council met today for a training session about what it means to be a school councillor. During the next few weeks they will meet on a Friday at 1.00 – 2.00 pm for a workshop about the importance of their voice and how to best represent their class views. This is a significant part of our school and the training is a great opportunity to help pupils express ideas and show how to manage community responsibility.

PTA Spring Fair Poster Competition

The entries for the Spring Fair Competition were wonderful. Choosing the winner was extremely difficult but the judgement was made on the clarity of reproduction in black and white for the programmes. Caitlin Denker was finally chosen and receives a £5 gift voucher.  All children who handed their entry in received a prize today as a reward for their effort. Well done!

Bags2school

The next collection is coming up on the 17th April so get clearing out and bag it up for us. Hopefully bags will be out next week when they arrive, but you can use black bin liners also.

One of the stalls at the Spring Fair is a toy and book stall, so if you have anything that is suitable for this we would appreciate your generous offerings as you tidy out in your SRING CLEAN.
