Happy Mother’s Day!

Have a lovely Day on Sunday all you mums and grandmas. I hope you enjoyed the special assembly for you today performed by the children in Miss Breslin’s class. Well done class 2!

PTA - Spring Fair Meeting

The PTA - Spring Fair is on Sunday 11th May at 11am – 1pm

Forms will be given to every child so that they can enter this years ‘Spring Fair Poster Competition’. The winner will receive a £5 gift voucher and the runner up an Easter egg. Please look out for these.

Open Day, Tuesday 11th March (9:30 – 11 am) and (1:30 – 3pm)

Come and see our children during Science Week and find out what it is like at St Joseph’s. All Welcome.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers

We are collecting Sainsbury’s Vouchers to help the children benefit from sports equipment to improve play times. So if you shop at Sainsbury’s pick up your vouchers and send them in.

Nestle Box Tops

We are also collecting Nestle Box Tops to help the school gain new books. So send those in as well.

Cafod Family Fast and St Joseph’s Penny

Last Friday Class 4 delivered an excellent CAFOD assembly about ‘Looking after our planet and green issues’. Class 3 have been raising money this week with various competitions organised by the children and class 4 will be organising events next week for this important cause. Today we dressed in green to end ‘Tree week’.  The money collected is for CAFOD to remind ourselves about how we should give generously to those who need our help. When we finish our activities and fund raising I will announce the total of money raised for both Lenten charities.

Netball Tournament

The High Five Netball Tournament at the Sports Centre yesterday organised by the High School went very well and the children really enjoyed playing against other schools. They came third, but did so without losing a game. well done.

Governors Meeting

On Thursday 6th March the governors meet for a Full Governor Body Meeting at 7.00pm in the Parish Room.

Playground

It is important for the children’s safety that cars remain outside the gates at all times. Any parents picking up or dropping children off should park outside the grounds.
