Confirmation and First Holy Communion
Year 3 receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this Sunday at 12.00pm and are looking forward to their First Holy Communion at 12 o’clock Mass on Sunday 10th June. Please pray for them all and hope they have a wonderful day.
PTA Important Meeting
The PTA is threatened. Please read the leaflet and come to a meeting to make a decision about its future on Wednesday June 6th at 6.15pm in the Sunshine Room. Everyone welcome –refreshments available.
Library Visit
Class 4 visit Todmorden Library on Monday 4th June.
Eco School Council
A new meeting of this group of children will meet at 1.30pm in the Sunshine Room to discuss sustainability at St Joseph’s. This is as a result of topics being discussed at ‘Wildthings’ and also School Council Meetings.
Next Half Term
We return to school on Monday 4th June for an exciting fun packed seven weeks. To help you plan and organise your diary a list of dates will be going out tonight.
Harl-e-quin Children’s Theatre
Harl-e-quin Children’s Theatre will be entertaining the children with a performance of ‘Toad of Toad Hall’ on Tuesday 5th June at 1.45pm.
School Nurse
On Wed 6th June Monica, our school nurse, will be in school with Mrs Cooper to welcome you at the door. If you wish to speak to her you are welcome to drop in for a chat.
Reports out
Your children’s annual written reports will be given out to parents on Friday 29th June. The reports can then form the basis of the parental consultation on the following Monday.
Parents Evening
The Parents’ Evening will be on Monday 2nd July from 2.00pm to 6.00pm. Your child will be bringing home a letter after half term to book a suitable time. If this is not convenient, you can contact school and arrange an alternative time.
Lunchtime Awards
Last week’s were awarded to: Foundation – Kit Pardoe, Alison Donnelly, Year 1 – Chloe Morgan, Year 2 – Georgia Bamford, Year 3 – Beth Reynolds, Year 4 – Chelsea Morgan, Year 5 – Aaron Lorimer, Year 6 – Ben Walker. Well done!
