Charging and Remission Guidelines

The purpose of these guidelines are:


1. To enable fund-raising to take place (for charities and for special projects) within the context of school life and the principles of the Education Reform Act.

 
2. To finance partially or in full, enrichment activities and materials which are considered to be of real educational value and appropriate to the needs of our pupils, but are beyond the range of the school budget.

 

3. To provide enrichment activities out of school hours by engaging the services of performers, tutors etc. at fees lower than the parents would otherwise have to pay.

 
Charges will only be made in line with the stipulations of the Education Reform Act 1988, regarding educational outings, residential visits, materials, equipment, activities etc. Incases of financial hardship the costs may be paid from school funds.
