Complaints Procedure

There are times in the life of a school when parents feel the need to complain about issues affecting their children. St. Joseph’s Governors and staff welcome parents to be involved in maintaining the high standard of education offered at St. Joseph’s through appropriate dialogue with staff, Governing Body members and when necessary the established complaints procedures. Complaints regarding the exercise of the Governing Body’s or Local Education Authority’s responsibilities in respect of the curriculum of the school, will be addressed according to arrangements approved by the Diocese of Salford and Supported by the School Governors. A copy of the Complaints Procedure Policy is available at the school office.

Complaints about members of the school staff or school issues should be discussed with the Head Teacher in the first instance. The School Governors are confident that the Head Teacher will be able to address any concerns. After discussing these issues with the Head Teacher parents may
wish to write to the Chair of Governors. In all cases the staff and Governors are committed to making St. Joseph’s a complaint free environment for you and your child.

Constructive Suggestions

The Governing Body welcomes constructive input from staff and parents with a view to improving every aspect of school life. Please feel free to contact the Chair of Governors, Head Teacher or any governor with your suggestions.
