🐝Bertie Bee & Burnley Football Club Visit

This week, our school was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed a very special visitor — Bertie Bee, the beloved mascot of Burnley F.C.! Pupils had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a penalty shootout, aiming to score against Bertie himself. There were plenty of cheers, laughter, and brilliant goals as our young footballers showed off their skills.
We’re thrilled to share that, through sponsorship for the penalty shootout, our school raised an amazing £333.12! A huge thank you to everyone who supported and donated.
After the fun on the pitch, pupils took part in an inspiring Show Racism the Red Card assembly, led by Lianne from Burnley FC. The session encouraged everyone to think about respect, inclusion, and how we can all play a part in standing up against discrimination.
It was a brilliant day combining sport, teamwork, and an important message about equality. A huge thank you to Bertie Bee, Lianne, and the Show Racism the Red Card team for inspiring our pupils and making the day so memorable.
