Additional Admissions Information
Selective Schools
Children applying to a selective school within the Trust are considered for a place based on the published selection criteria, which may include academic assessments, entrance tests, or faith-based considerations as outlined in the Trust’s Admissions Policy. Parents and carers should ensure they understand the requirements for the specific school before submitting an application.
Delayed or Deferred Reception Entry
Parents or carers of a child of primary school age may request to delay or defer their child’s entry to Reception. Requests must be submitted in writing to the school, ideally at the time of application, explaining the reasons for the deferral. The school will consider each request in line with the Trust’s Admissions Policy and local authority guidance.
Admission Outside the Normal Age Group
Parents or carers may also request admission for their child outside the normal age group (for example, starting school a year early or later than usual). Requests should be made in writing to the school and will be considered on an individual basis, taking into account the child’s needs, best interests, and the Trust’s Admissions Policy.
