💷Pupil Premium Strategy
💷 Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England, aimed at:
-
Raising the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities
-
Closing the gaps between them and their peers
This funding is available for children who:
-
Have been, or are currently, on the Free School Meals (FSM) register
-
Are in, or have been in, local-authority care
-
Have parents who are serving in the armed forces
🎯 How We Use Pupil Premium at St Joseph’s
At our school, the funding supports children in a variety of ways, including:
-
1:1 interventions and group support
-
Purchase of equipment
-
Opportunities to take part in extra-curricular activities
-
Subsidising the cost of school trips (other children in the class do not subsidise this)
✅ Eligibility
To benefit from the Pupil Premium, your child must be:
-
Registered as eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years
Note: Universal free school meals are offered to all pupils in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, but this does not automatically entitle your child to Pupil Premium.

Income Support

Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
-
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
-
Support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
